Overview:
This lens is relatively rare, and was originally made for 16mm film projection. Either in the late 1930s or early 1940s. I’ve shaved off some of the lens barrel so it covers full frame, no modification to the actual optical layout. What’s interesting about this lens is that this is a perfect Tachar lens, with 4 elements in 4 groups, and it’s just as sharp as the Pan-Tachar 50mm f/1.8 lens. Sold with M42x1mm threads ready to be adapted to focusing helicoids and the system of your choice. I’ve adapted some of these to Leica-M before.
Condition:
Optically in very good condition, no mold/fungus, no scratches, might be a few cleaning marks if you look very carefully, although I can’t see any.
